Stepping Forward in Hope... Together.

With all the chaos of 2020, we now find ourselves winding down 2021 and stuck somewhere between quarantine and “normal.” We experienced the pandemic on a personal level. We experienced the pandemic as ministry leader, professionals, parents, and more. You might find yourself tired, unsure of how to process all the losses, change and graces of the past year, or unsure of how to move forward. You may be asking yourself, How do I re-enter life in a post-pandemic world? How do I process what I have been through?

We Have a Plan:

We took these concerns into prayer and discernment and have developed a framework to pray through this past 18 months, to invite God to show us where we are now, and to discern where we are going. This three week community journey guides you in prayerfully processing all that is happening in our world using the gifts of Ignatian Spirituality.

We developed the Naming the Real Retreat to give you space to pause and the tools to pray through the pandemic and other complexities of life. In three, two-hour small group sessions and through additional online prayer resources, we'll lean on the practical tools of Ignatian Spirituality and use the witness of Mary Magdalene at the tomb to process the past, to acknowledge the present, and to discern our next steps.

The framework will give you an opportunity to process the past, to acknowledge the present, and to discern your next steps in three parts:

  1. Looking Back: Reviewing the year with God’s help
  2. Standing in the Present: Noticing what we notice with Jesus
  3. Moving Forward: Discerning where God is calling us to go

 Key Takeaways:

  • Come together as a community of faith.
  • Name the real of what's happening in our lives and in the world.
  • Anchor into God's promise that we are not alone.
  • Pray through the sorrow and suffering we see and are experiencing.
  • Discern your next right steps leaning on the Ignatian prayer tools offered to navigate what's next.
  • Take a step forward in hope.
